Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis of the total error of an ultrasonic level meter designed to measure the level of liquid materials in order to improve the accuracy of the measuring system in tanks. The components of the total error of the process of measuring transformation of the liquid level are determined and the analysis of the main characteristics is carried out, to reduce the random error of the measurement system, the task of ensuring the accuracy of measurement and control of the level using an ultrasonic level gauge is presented, by averaging the measurement results when calculating its error. As a result, it was revealed that the generalized cumulative error of the device belongs to the interval G = 1.3 - 2%.
