Abstract

The paper considers the problem of measuring the rotational speeds of spindles of a cotton picking machine, using the method of counting the number of observed pulses within a given time interval with a constant width. Calculation of the quantization error with a change in the rotational speed is carried out. It is established that the relative error of the chosen control method is a function of the speed of rotation itself. The calculation of the error is carried out and the results of the modulation of rotational speeds at various rotational speeds of the spindles are shown graphically. It is established that in the regions of medium and higher rotational frequencies the quantization error is in an acceptable region, and at a low rotation speed the error amplitude becomes higher than the permissible value.
